Percepciones de estudiantes chinos sobre las mujeres españolas, en el cine. Cultura en la clase de ELE.

Abstract

El tema principal que estudiamos es la situación de las mujeres españolas, y en especial, las mujeres españolas en el cine español.

A partir de un plan de acción basado en la metodología cualitativa interpretativa, observaremos y analizaremos las percepciones de tres grupos de estudiantes sobre las mujeres españolas del cine español: antes de realizar una unidad didáctica, durante la unidad didáctica y después de la unidad didáctica. Observaremos si hay cambios o evoluciona el discurso de los estudiantes y si el material utilizado resulta motivador para el aprendizaje; para acercar la cultura nueva a los estudiantes. La unidad didáctica seguirá un método comunicativo, un enfoque por tareas y hará uso del cine para introducir en el aula nuevos temas (Tomalin y Stempleski, 1993; De Borja y Sanz, 2005; Soler-Espiauba, 2006; etc.).

Se tendrán presentes estudios previos sobre la enseñanza de ELE (la motivación, la enseñanza de la lengua y la cultura, el estudio de la lengua y cultura a partir del cine, la representación de las mujeres en los manuales, etc.); estudios sobre la situación de las mujeres (qué grandes cambios se han producido en España, datos sobre la representación de las mujeres en el cine español, etc.), así como se señalarán algunas características sobre la situación en China, puesto que todos los participantes de esta investigación son de origen chino.

The main topic we are going to study is the positioning of Spanish women, and more specifically, women’s representation in Spanish cinema.

Through an action plan settled in the interpretive qualitative research, we will observe and analyse the perceptions of three groups of students about Spanish women in Spanish cinema: before a didactic unit, during the didactic unit, and after the didactic unit. We will pay attention to the changes and the evolution of the students’ discourse, and we will also observe if the didactic unit motivates the students to learn the new culture. The didactic unit will follow a communicative approach, task-based, and with the use of films for the introduction of new topics (Tomalin y Stempleski, 1993; De Borja y Sanz, 2005; Soler-Espiauba, 2006; etc.).

We will take into account previous studies about teaching ELE (Spanish as a second language): studies related to motivation, teaching language and culture in the classroom, teaching language and culture through films, the representation of Spanish women in Spanish language learning books, etc.; we will also consider studies about women’s positioning: changes that took place in Spain, pieces of information about the representation of women in Spanish cinema, etc.; and in addition we will point out some characteristics about the situation in China, because all the participants of this investigation come from China.
