La adquisición del sistema vocálico del español por hablantes con lengua materna alemán y chino

Abstract

La presente investigación se enmarca en el ámbito de la fonética experimental aplicada a la Adquisición de Segundas Lenguas (ASL). A modo de resumen, nuestro trabajo pretende analizar las realizaciones vocálicas tónicas del español por parte de informantes femeninas de LM alemana y china, en comparación con hablantes de LM española, con el objetivo de comprobar cómo se comporta cada una de estas lenguas maternas en la producción del español como L2. Es decir, cómo se reflejan, en las vocales del español, las diferencias existentes entre dos sistemas vocálicos tan alejados como el alemán y el chino. En este sentido, la investigación que hemos realizado tiene varios objetivos. El primero de ellos es analizar uno de los factores clave en la adquisición de una segunda lengua: la interferencia de la lengua materna. Por otro lado, el segundo de nuestros objetivos se centra en la descripción de la variación estilística, es decir, los cambios producidos en las realizaciones de los hablantes causados por la diferente situación y estilo de habla: espontáneo frente a formal. Para alcanzar estos objetivos, hemos seleccionado tres informantes femeninas para cada uno de los tres grupos analizados: de LM española, alemana y china. De este modo, en la investigación exponemos los valores frecuenciales de los formantes 1 y 2 así como la duración de las realizaciones vocálicas de cada perfil lingüístico en los dos estilos de habla. Los resultados reflejan la interferencia de cada lengua materna en la producción de las vocales del español en ambos estilos, así como su influencia sobre la variación estilística.

The present investigation is part of the field of experimental phonetics applied to the Second Language Acquisition (SLA). By way of summary, our work aims to analyze the tonic vocalic realizations of Spanish by female informants of German and Chinese mother tongue, in comparison with Spanish speakers, in order to verify how each of these mother tongues behaves in the production of Spanish as L2. That is, how the differences between two vowel systems as far apart as German and Chinese are reflected in the Spanish vowels. In this sense, the research we have carried out has several objectives. The first one is to analyze one of the key factors in the acquisition of a second language: the interference of the mother tongue. On the other hand, the second of our objectives focuses on the description of stylistic variation, that is, the changes produced in the speakers' performances caused by the different situation and style of speech: spontaneous versus formal. To achieve these objectives, we have selected three female informants for each of the three groups analyzed: Spanish, German and Chinese mother tongue. In this way, in the investigation we expose the frequency values of the formants 1 and 2 as well as the duration of the vowel realizations of each linguistic profile in the two speech styles. The results reflect the interference of each mother tongue in the production of Spanish vowels in both styles, as well as their influence on stylistic variation.
