Abstract

In recent decades, there has been a digitalization in all areas and faetones have not been been exempt from of this phenomenon, incorporating CAD I CAM I CAE systems, as well as automatas, robots, and real-time control systems , etc., or the modelling and virtual recreation of processes or entire faetones with simulation software. These advances have allowed us to process huge amounts of data at high speed and handle the equiprnent beyond the known limits of reliability and precision. However, they remain mostly traditional and therefore face limitations no longer control, but physical, such as the impossibility of com plex geometries. Situation that blocks creativity and constitutes a barrier to the development of products with high added value . The technologies of additive manufactunng, overcome these limitations and represent a revolution with respect to traditional manufacturing processes, allowing to build the pieces by consolidating a material layer by layer, instead of cutting, shaping or molding. On the other hand, it allows to reduce the distance between the conceivable and the feasible, from a geometric point of view, it gives the designers a great freedom and the possibility for exploitation of the individuality of the consumers (the personalization). lt also allows to move from a digital object to a real one in a simple way, posing an almost total disconnection between design and manufacturing .Therefore, it has the potential to outline a future where productive centers exist, but they are relocated, working in a network, and collaboratively multiplying resources and resources, reducing displacements, delays and waste . In order to provide the products that, in a virtual way, are stored as orders, that is, needs that the society of knowledge or information requests . These additive technologies compared to others are in their early stages of development. lts limitations conditioned by the current state of the art do not lie in the processes, but in the material one of its weak spots, as well as its cost and productivity. So, despite this, there is plenty of evidence that indicates that we are in the early days of one of the catalysts of the changes that are to come. Computers have changed our lives, just like the Internet, and now it is the turn of digital manufacturing in all its forms; and additive manufacturing is one of them. In recent years, we can see that between 2002 and 2004 ,the first fab-labs emerged; at the same time Facebook, Arduino and RepRap . In 2005 YouTube was born, Twitter in 2006 ...A whole series of events that are related in one way or another to having access to new tools, becoming both producers and consumers (Prosumers), and both digital content and now, objects and devices, that have life in the physical world. At present, the main European funding programs in R & D have different calls open to this type of technology, demonstrating the great potential and interest they arouse. In this aspect, this thesis anses as a result of the Nhibnd32D project and this, as consequence of the need of the Barcelonean industry to meet the new demands in the manufacture of electrical and electronic components. This thesis deals with the design, development and construction of a multi-material hybrid additive manufacturing system, based on the combination of DLP (Digital Light Processing) technologies together with the ink jet deposition of functional materials, deepening in the latter and extrapolating under the concepts of the Polyjet, by means of the application of inkjet heads PIJ of the type bend, new possible applications are explored in order to confer to the reproduced elements new properties and functionalities, with the aim of increasing their interaction with the user.
