Adiós al Bien. Una genealogía ética de la hermenéutica gadameriana

[spa] El presente trabajo evalúa y determina de qué modo podemos hablar de “ética” en la hermenéutica de Hans-Georg Gadamer. La solución sostenida es la de considerar la ética como el origen de la hermenéutica. Para defender dicha tesis se ha tenido en cuenta las palabras de Gadamer sobre una posible ética filosófica. Se ha analizado a este respecto las condiciones bajo las cuales la ética filosófica puede hacer justicia como teoría a la dimensión ética y práctica de la que debe partir. Con todo, en vistas a los problemas que dicha posibilidad acarrea para distinguir la disciplina de la ética de la hermenéutica, se lleva a cabo una revaluación de lo que supone la teoría y la práctica en filosofía. Para ello se ha analizado la interpretación gadameriana sobre Platón y su conexión con la filosofía práctica aristotélica. Desde el pensamiento aristotélico-platónico se reconoce una unidad entre teoría y praxis que apunta a un inquebrantable vínculo entre el hablar y el obrar, entre la determinación y la decisión; un vínculo que siempre remite a la finita situación compartida que tiene lugar. Tras ello, se ha analizado el proyecto hermenéutico de Gadamer a la luz de esta conexión entre teoría y práctica, demostrando finalmente que los límites que se autoimpone la hermenéutica corresponden a las condiciones que Gadamer otorga a la ética filosófica.

[eng] This work evaluates and determines how we could speak of “ethics” in Hans-Georg Gadamer's hermeneutics. The solution is to understand ethics as the origin of hermeneutics. In order to defend this thesis, Gadamer's words on a possible philosophical ethics have been considered. In this regard, the conditions under which philosophical ethics can do justice as a theory to the ethical and practical dimension from which it must start have been analyzed. However, in view of the problems that such a possibility entails for distinguishing the discipline of ethics from hermeneutics, a re-evaluation of what is implied by theory and practice in philosophy is undertaken. To this end, the Gadamerian interpretation of Plato and its connection with Aristotelian practical philosophy has been investigated. Aristotelian-Platonic thought recognizes a unity between theory and praxis that points to an unbreakable link between speaking and acting, between determination and decision: that is a link that always refers to the finite shared situation that takes place. Gadamer's hermeneutic model has then been analyzed in light of this connection between theory and praxis. Finally, it has been proved that the self-imposed limits of hermeneutics correspond to the conditions Gadamer assigns to philosophical ethics.
