L’Escola dels Llivis de Morella. Històries de vida i educació rural

Abstract

La present investigació és una suma de veus que pretén posar en valor la realitat educativa i masovera que va viure bona part de la comarca dels Ports. Gràcies a les històries de vida, es recuperen les vivències de l’escola dels Llivis de Morella. Així doncs, s’han utilitzat les experiències de les persones protagonistes i la informació històrica dels períodes temporals en els quals l’escola dels Llivis va romandre oberta, (1936-1938) i (1956-1974), per tal de mostrar i analitzar aquella realitat. L’objectiu del treball és fer una aportació a la memòria colꞏlectiva, evidenciant l’admiració i orgull cap a una gent que malgrat tot, sempre va confiar en l’educació com a motor de canvi i de progrés.

The present research is a sum of voices that aims to highlight the educational and rural reality experienced by a large part of Els Ports region. Thanks to the life stories, the experiences at Els Llivis de Morella school are recovered. So, the life experiences of both teachers and students have been deployed, as well as the historical information of the time periods in which this school remained open, (1936-1938 and 1956-1974), in order to show and analyze reality of that moment. Life at the farmhouse during the Second Republic, the Civil War and the subsequent dictatorship are some of the elements that are tackled in order to understand the rural education of the time. The aim is to make a contribution to the collective memory, highlighting the admiration and pride towards a people who, despite everything, always trusted in education as the main driver of change and progress.
