Protocol i cerimonial oficial de la Generalitat de Catalunya 1931-1981: continuïtats i provisionalitats

Abstract

La tesi doctoral Protocol i cerimonial oficial de la Generalitat de Catalunya (1931-1981). Continuïtats i provisionalitats analitza el protocol oficial de les institucions públiques que han ocupat el Palau de la Generalitat entre 1931 i 1981. L'estudi identifica la tasca duta a terme pels diferents professionals de les oficines de protocol que van treballar sota les ordres dels successius presidents de la Generalitat de Catalunya durant la República, la Diputació de Barcelona en el franquisme i la Generalitat restablerta de la transició. També s'examina la manera com els representants d'aquestes institucions van fer ús del protocol oficial per escenificar el seu poder davant de la ciutadania. El ventall cronològic abordat ha permès comparar períodes molt diferenciats de la història contemporània del país i observar-ne les continuïtats i les provisionalitats en matèria de protocol i cerimonial oficial. El mètode de recerca s'ha basat en la triangulació dels resultats obtinguts de les fonts d'arxiu, la bibliografia especialitzada i les fonts orals.

The Doctoral dissertation Protocol and official ceremonial of Generalitat de Catalunya (1931-1981). Continuities and temporariness explores the official protocol held by public institutions settled in Palau de la Generalitat between 1931 and 1981. The research shows the tasks done by the public servants who worked in the protocol office for the successive presidents of the autonomous government of the Generalitat de Catalunya during the republican period, the province government of the Diputació de Barcelona throughout the course of Franco's dictatorship, and the restored Generalitat in the democratic transition period. The work also looks at how the politicians representing these institutions used the official protocol in order to stage their political power to the citizens. The chosen chronological range facilitated the investigation a comparison between the very different historical periods of Catalonia and to observe the continuities and temporariness related to protocol and official ceremonial.
