El perdón y los vínculos del ofensor con la ofensa y con la comunidad

[spa] El perdón es un tema apasionante que ha sido estudiado desde muchas perspectivas; la del ofensor ha recibido menos atención que otras. La idea de que todos ocupamos el lugar del ofensor y del ofendido en algún momento de nuestra vida, hace que el estudio que presentamos suponga una aportación que nos ayuda a entender y a atender nuestra vulnerabilidad, que se manifiesta no solo cuando nos hacen daño, sino también cuando hacemos daño a los demás. La dirección inversa que siguen el vínculo con la ofensa y el vínculo con la comunidad, que crecen o se debilitan respectivamente en función de lo que hace el otro, nos permite descubrir la vulnerabilidad del ofensor, que a veces se nos pasa por alto a los demás y, especialmente, al propio ofensor. Para nuestro estudio hemos contado con la participación de un grupo de menores ofensores cumpliendo medidas de justicia juvenil. Nos hemos acercado a su historia desde un enfoque cualitativo a través del estudio de casos y de talleres grupales en los que han compartido reflexiones a través de la técnica Photovoice. Hemos conocido su historia previa, su vinculación con la ofensa y su historia de perdón; también sus miedos e inseguridades relacionados con la percepción de su vínculo con la comunidad. Por último, hemos elaborado una propuesta formativa para promover el perdón como instrumento para fomentar el sentimiento de pertenencia y hemos incluido medidas que permitan atender a las circunstancias del entorno que favorecieron el escenario de la ofensa.

[eng] Forgiveness is a compelling subject which has been studied from various perspectives; the offender’s perspective has received less attention than others. The idea that we all take the place of the offender and the victim at some point in our lives makes the study we are presenting a contribution that helps us understand and address our vulnerability, which manifests itself not only when we are hurt, but also when we hurt others. The inverse relationship between the link with the offense and the link with the community, meaning each either grows or diminishes respectively depending on the trajectory of the other, allows us to discover the vulnerability of the offender, which is sometimes overlooked by us, by others and, especially, by the offender himself. For the purposes of our study, we

have enlisted the participation of a group of young offenders currently serving juvenile sentences. We have approached their personal stories from a qualitative perspective through case studies and group workshops in which they have shared reflections through the Photovoice technique. We have ascertained their personal background, their connection with the offense and their history of forgiveness; also their fears and insecurities related to the perception of their bond with the community. Lastly, we have developed a training proposal to promote forgiveness as an instrument to foster the sense of belonging and we have included measures that promote attention to the surrounding circumstances that set the scene for the offense.
