El tractament de la història en la narrativa catalana contemporània

Abstract

[cat] Un dels objectius més sòlids d’aquesta investigació és el de provar que la literatura en català, malgrat la seva petitesa i marginalitat, és capaç de produir novel·les històriques de qualitat dins el context de la narrativa europea i internacional. Novel·les capaces de dialogar amb el gènere històric específic i amb la narrativa internacional del seu temps, dins del corrent cultural que li pertoca, el de la postmodernitat. Dit això, en aquesta tesi ens proposàvem quatre grans objectius d’anàlisi. El primer dels quals era estudiar quins elements característics de la narrativa de la postmodernitat apareixen en les novel·les triades i quin ús en fan, d’aquestes característiques, els autors. Un segon tret característic de la postmodernitat, vist a la nostra investigació, és la paròdia i la imitació com a font de diàleg amb el lector. Aquest recurs és usual en les novel·les postmodernes. La finalitat és jugar amb referents culturals del lector al qual s’adreça. La intertextualitat en les novel·les és un altre tret que hem estudiat. La intenció de l’autor fent ús de la dita intertextualitat és la de crear una xarxa complexa de textos diversos per tal d’atrapar la realitat, que, per definició, és complexa. L’aproximació a aquesta realitat és textual, per tant, lingüística. La hibridació de gèneres, el diàleg amb la història són constants en la narrativa contemporània i les hem estudiades en les tres novel·les analitzades: Crim de Germania, Borja Papa i 1969. Finalment, hem estudiat el condicionament epistèmic que comporta el fet que siguin escrites en català, dues d’elles amb la variant valenciana.

[eng] One of the most solid objectives of this research is to prove that literature in Catalan, despite its smallness and marginality, is capable of producing quality historical novels within the context of the European and international narrative. Novels capable of setting up a dialogue with the specific historical genre and with the international narrative of its time, within the cultural current that belongs to it, that of postmodernity. Having said that, in this thesis we proposed four main analytical objectives. The first of them was to study which common elements of the postmodern narrative appear in the chosen novels and what use the authors make of them. A second common feature of postmodernity, seen in our research, is parody

and imitation as a source of dialogue with the reader. This resource is common in postmodern novels. The purpose is to play with the cultural references of the reader to whom it is addressed. Intertextuality in novels is another feature we have studied. The author's intention when making use of that intertextuality is to create a complex network of original texts in order to capture reality, which, by definition, is complex. The approach to this reality is textual, therefore linguistic. The hybridization of genres and the dialogue with the History are constant in contemporary narrative and we have studied them in the three novels analyzed: Crim de Germania, Borja Papa and 1969. The fusion of elements, the challenges to traditional classifications and the experimentation are marks of narrative and experimental postmodernity, that are found in these novels. Finally, we have studied the epistemic conditioning entailed by the fact that they are written in Catalan, two of them with the Valencian variant.
