La crónica deportiva radiofónica de noticia o reporte informativo. Definición, características, evolución y vigencia del género en México

Abstract

El presente trabajo trata de analizar qué factores influyen de forma determinante sobre las características del subgénero crónica deportiva radiofónica del tipo noticia o reporte informativo en México, así como su contenido y uso en la programación radiofónica de México. Para ello se consideró necesario aplicar dos metodologías, paralelas a la revisión bibliográfica y documental.

La primera de ellas fue la entrevista cualitativa a periodistas deportivos, lo cual permitió destacar generalidades que pudieran determinar la forma, el contenido y el proceso de elaboración del subgénero, gracias a la visión ajena a la nuestra, y al mismo tiempo descubrir la ausencia de alguna variable cuyo control pudiera resultar importante en la investigación, y evitar de este modo, la aparición de algún sesgo atribuible a la perspectiva empleada por el investigador.

Y la segunda se enfocó al análisis de contenido de 699 posibles crónicas deportivas radiofónicas, llamadas en primera instancia unidades radiofónicas informativas (URI) emitidas en cuatro programas deportivos a nivel nacional en México, durante los meses de febrero y marzo de 2006 y enero de 2008, 2012 y 2013, lo cual permitió describir, en lo práctico, las características de dicho género periodístico, otorgando ideas sobre las marcas de excepcionalidad del hecho al cual se le convierte en crónica y comprobando si se cumplen los parámetros que, según otros investigadores, estudiosos y expertos, se cree que ésta debe tener.

Así también, se elaboraron muestras de cuestionarios que en lo sucesivo puedan servir como aportación para próximas investigaciones y que se ponen a consideración del jurado con la firme intención de aprovechar si lo referente al género coincide con el pensamiento de los profesionales que la desempeñan, aportando nuevas conclusiones y reforzando nuestra línea de investigación. Por lo antes expuesto, al establecer ideas y reconocer las características de nuestro objeto de estudio al descubrir las causas que justifican su estado actual y proponer una redefinición e incluso un modelo actualizado y adecuado a los requerimientos de quienes la elaboran en los medios del país, se puede concluir que dicha investigación es descriptiva, al reconocer cómo es el género hoy y cómo se ha investigado hasta la fecha; exploratoria, al descubrir y prestar atención a todo cuanto se involucra con su puesta en práctica para entender las evoluciones o influencias que determinan su estado actual; y explicativa, ya que la disponibilidad de toda la información proveniente de las consultas a fuentes, entrevistas con expertos o periodistas en activo y la metodología de análisis de contenido empleado en la disección de un amplio corpus formado, nos permitió plantear relaciones entre las posibles variables que se descubran por el camino y que sirvan para plantear futuras hipótesis con un mayor conocimiento del tema.

Con este trabajo se proporcionan, pues, pautas y referentes para su práctica a los estudiantes, profesionales y a quienes la elaboran, además de aportar características concretas que tiene el subgénero, lo cual permita su reconocimiento y evolución, avanzando en el conocimiento científico, en el ámbito que nos ocupa, así como la formación de sus profesionales, el perfil del cronista deportivo en las empresas para las cuales trabaja y que sirve de partida para trabajos posteriores.

This thesis work intends to analyze the predominant factors influencing on the characteristics of the genre radio sports chronicle or informative report in Mexico, as well as its content and use in the radio programming in Mexico. In order to achieve that, I consider necessary to use two different methods, parallel to literary review and documentary review.

The first one of them was the qualitative interview with sports journalists, which allows for the identification of general features which could determine the shape, content and the process of elaboration of the sub-genre, thanks to a vision other than ours, and at the same time to discover the absence of a variable whose control could be found to be important in the research, and thus to avoid the appearance of some bias attributable to the researcher's point of view.

The second one focused on the analysis of the content of 699 potential radio sports chronicles, firstly referred to as radio informative units (RIU), broadcasted in four sports shows on national television in Mexico, during February-March 2006 and January 2006, 2012 and 2013, which allow for the description, as to the practical side of it, of the characteristics of said journalistic genre, giving ideas on the marks of exceptionality of the fact which turn it into a chronicle and checking if the parameters, which according to other researchers, scholars and experts, the chronicle must have, are met.

Also, sample questionnaires are included which might be useful in future research and which are there for the consideration of the members of the Exam Jury with the firm intention to, if all the aspects as to the genre concur with the thinking of the professionals, providing new conclusions and reinforcing our line of research. In view of the above, when establishing ideas and recognizing the characteristics of our object of study and discovering the causes of its present state and proposing a redefinition and even an updated model suitable for the requirements of those who work in the mass media means, one can conclude that the research mentioned above is descriptive, as it recognizes the present state of the genre and the way in which research has been done about it; it is also exploratory because it pays attention and tries to discover all the aspects involved in its implementation in order to understand its evolutions and influences that shape its present state; and explanatory, as the availability of all the information from references, interviews with experts or journalist in practice and the methodology of the analysis of the content of a extended corpus, allowed to outline future hypothesis with a better understanding of the topic.

Therefore, this work provides guidelines and reference for practices for students, professionals and those who write chronicles. This work also outlines the specific characteristics of the genre, which allow for their identification and evolution, making progress in scientific knowledge, in the field of our interest, as well as in the training of professionals, the profile of sports chronicle maker at the companies where he/she works and which is a starting point for future thesis works.
