Modelo experimental comparativo entre anastomosis linfaticovenosas y trasplante de colgajo libre de ganglio vascularizado en el tratamiento del linfedema

Abstract

La primera publicación se realizó con el objetivo de encontrar un modelo animal viable para la práctica del desarrollo y tratamiento quirúrgico del linfedema. El modelo animal seleccionado fue el conejo, es fácil de manejar, tiene un tamaño adecuado y su sistema linfático está bien definido. En el artículo se describe como se crea el desarrollo del linfedema y su tratamiento mediante la realización de anastomosis linfático venosas. En el segundo artículo se utiliza el mismo modelo animal y se realiza la generación de linfedema en el miembro posterior del conejo mediante la eliminación del ganglio linfático poplíteo. Para el tratamiento del linfedema se realiza la transferencia del ganglio poplíteo contralateral.

The first publication aim was to find a viable animal model for the development of secondary lymphedema in order to study its surgical treatment. The animal model selected was the rabbit, because is easy to handle, adequate size and its lymphatic system is well defined. The article describes the induction of a lymphedema and its treatment by performing venous lymphatic anastomoses. In the second article the same animal model is used and the generation of lymphedema in the hind limb of the rabbit is carried out by lymph node exeresis. For the treatment of lymphedema, the contralateral popliteal node is transplanted.
