Agencias de género a partir de memorias colectivas construidas por mujeres cubanas vinculadas a procesos de alfabetización de la Revolución

Abstract

For decades, Cuba has represented the socialist utopia of the left in Latin America. The early incorporation of women into education and productive work in the 1960s helped ratify the imaginary of justice and social equality. However, for women, the transformation of the Revolution had a character both of vindication and of obligation with the revolutionary commitment. From that point of view, the critical analysis of feminism regarding how being a woman has been constructed in the Cuban Revolution has been insufficient. This thesis aims to build the agencies on being a woman signified in the collective memories of Cuban women who joined the process of the Revolution from its beginnings. The purpose is to understand how the orders of political power and gender are stressed and/or reproduced from the memories about being a woman in the Cuban Revolution. To do this, I analyze the discourse based on the stories of seventeen women who were linked to the Revolution since the literacy campaign, and I also analyze the speeches of Fidel Castro offered at the Congresses of the Federation of Cuban Women (from 1962 to 2000), as representative of the official discourse. The theoretical-methodological positioning of the research is a proposal that integrates critical social psychology, post-structuralist feminist studies and collective memory studies, maintaining socio-constructionism as a common foundation

Cuba ha representat per dècades la utopia socialista de les esquerres a Llatinoamèrica. La incorporació de les dones a l'educació i al treball productiu de manera primerenca a la dècada dels seixanta van ajudar a ratificar l'imaginari de justícia i igualtat social. Tot i això, per a les dones, la transformació de la Revolució va tenir un caràcter tant de reivindicació com d'obligatorietat amb el compromís revolucionari. Des d'aquest lloc, l'anàlisi crítica del feminisme pel que fa a com ha estat construït el fet de ser dona a la Revolució cubana ha estat insuficient. Aquesta tesi es planteja construir les agències sobre el fet de ser dona significades a les memòries col·lectives de dones cubanes que es van incorporar al procés de la Revolució des dels seus inicis. La finalitat és comprendre com es tensionen i/o reprodueixen els ordres de poder polític i de gènere des de les memòries sobre l'ésser dona a la Revolució cubana. Per això, faig una anàlisi del discurs a partir dels relats de disset dones que es van vincular a la Revolució des de la campanya d'alfabetització, i també analitzo els discursos de Fidel Castro oferts als Congressos de la Federació de Dones Cubanes (de 1962 al 2000), com a representatius del discurs oficial. El posicionament teòric-metodològic de la investigació és una proposta que integra des de la Psicologia social crítica, els estudis feministes de tall postestructuralistes i els estudis de memòria col·lectiva, mantenint com a basament comú el socioconstruccionisme
