L’Institut, emmarcat en el Campus Turisme, és un espai de confluència de la recerca fonamental i aplicada, la transferència de coneixement i la formació superior en el turisme, des d’una perspectiva transdisciplinària. INSETUR té la voluntat de millorar el coneixement sobre els processos socials, econòmics, jurídics, territorials, empresarials, comunicatius, ambientals o patrimonials del turisme, en els àmbits local, regional, estatal i internacional
